If you need any assistance with the equipment in the classrooms, have any special AV requests, or would like a “hands on” session to become familiar with the equipment, please contact AV Services. This brief orientation is intended to help faculty members become familiar with the presentation equipment in rooms D007 and D107 of the Center for Health Sciences. In the unlikely event of equipment failure, please contact AV Services immediately.

  2. Welcome to OSU Center for Health Sciences How it is usedThe interactive touch panel is used to control the AV equipment in the classroom. From this station, users can make presentations utilizing different equipment How to Start Simply follow instructions on the screen to power on the AV equipment. Press on the OSU logo to start. The screen should change and look similar to this. Select the option that suites your needs and press to select. Press Presentation to begin a presentation.

  3. How to use the Display Screen The Display ScreenThe display screen is used to control the video displays, the lights, and the volume levels in the classroom. How to select To get to the Displays screen, press the DISPLAYS button. The DISPLAYS button can be pressed on any screen to return to the Display screen. The Displays buttons control the TV’s and projector as labeled. The LIGHTS buttons control the level of the lights in the classroom. Preset 1 is the highest level, Preset 4 is the darkest. These Component buttons are used to select each component.

  4. How to select and use the VCR How it is usedThe VCR is used for playing videocassettes or for watching cable programs. How to select Press the VCR button. The touch panel screen should change and look similar to the image on the left. Press POWER to turn on the VCR. Press TO TV’S to view the image on the TV’s, TO PROJ to view the image on the Projection Screen. Use these buttons to control the VCR. Press Displays to return to the displays screen.

  5. How to select and use the DVD player How it is usedThe DVD player only plays DVDs. The computer can also play DVDs. How to select Press the DVD button. The display should change to look similar to this. Press Power to turn on the DVD player. Press TO TV’S to view the image on the TV’s, TO PROJ to view the image on the projection screen. Use these buttons to control the DVD Player.

  6. How to select and use the Auxiliary Video option How it is usedAux Video is used to connect other AV equipment to the system. The handheld video camera is a popular device used with this option. How to select Press the AUX VIDEO button. The display should change to look similar to this. If you need help connecting your device, please contact AV Services at 640-8445 or 561-8445 Press TO TV’S to view the image on the TV’s, TO PROJ to view the image on the projection screen.

  7. How to select and use the Document Camera How it is usedThe Document camera is used to display paper documents, such as handwritten notes or printed charts and graphs. How to select Press the DOC CAM button. The screen should change to look similar to this. The document camera must be activated by lifting the green tab. Press TO TV’S to view the image on the TV’s, TO PROJ to view the image on the projection screen. Use these buttons to control the document camera.

  8. How to select and use the PC How it is usedThe PC is used when showing PowerPoint presentations, websites, internet videos, and other computer based applications. How to select Press the PC PODIUM button. The screen should change to look similar to this. Press TO TV’S to view the image on the TV’s, TO PROJ to view the image on the projection screen. Your personal computer can also be used with the system. After making the appropriate connections, Press LAPTOP to select your personal computer. If you need assistance making the appropriate connections, please contact AV Services at 564-8445 or 640-8445. Press TO TV’S to view the image on the TV’s, TO PROJ to view the image on the projector.

  9. How to control the Volume Levels How it is usedMIC VOLUME controls the volume of the microphones. STEREO VOLUME controls the volume of the other components. How to select MIC VOLUME controls microphone volume. Each microphone can be selected and adjusted independently. PODIUM selects and controls the podium microphone levels. LAV selects and controls the lapel microphone levels. HH1 and HH2 select and control the hand held microphones’ levels. STEREO VOLUME controls volume of the other equipment.

  10. Blank screen aren’t always bad The touch panel will go to standby mode after not being touched for a few minutes. To activate the touch panel again, simply touch the screen in the middle. Remember, to access the Displays screen, simply press the DISPLAYS button.
