  6. THE CHALLENGE OF VOTER REGISTRATION Every election year, millions of Americans miss the opportunity to vote simply because of missed registration deadlines or other voter registration problems. AT WORK

  8. OPPORTUNITY National Voter Registration Day is an opportunity to meet these challenges head on. OPPORTUNITY

  9. SUCCESS IN 2012 Successes NVRD was a massive success in 2012, engaging thousands of citizens, volunteers and organizations: 303,610 voter registrations in a single day! 1,223 participating organizations from all 50 states 9,878 volunteers

  10. GOALS IN 2013 GOALS • Register 50,000 people! • Involve 250 organizations • Reframe the conversation on voter registration and voting rights

  11. HOW WE’LL DO IT HOW Partnerships that can bring our message and our field presence into every community. New technology to connect interested voters with helpful volunteers in their community. Media - One day of blow-out media and communications work to make sure no one can miss the news.
