  2. Transmitting / Receiving ELA 10 provides two transmitting/receiving modes: ■ 1 FREQ mode (Transmitting/Receiving of one single frequency ) ■ 35 FREQ (MTTS) mode (Transmitting/Receiving of 35 frequencies simultaneously) 1 FREQ mode ■Range: 20 Hz to 20 kHz ■Resolution: 1 Hz 35 FREQ (MTTS) mode ■Range: 200 to 3600 Hz ■Step: 100 Hz ELEKTR NIKA

  3. Single End NEXT / LOSS Measurement ELA 10 provides three single-end loss measuring modes: ■ Measurement with one single frequency ■ Measurement with 35 frequencies at the same time (200 to 3600 Hz) ■ Measurement in sweep mode (200 Hz to 9 kHz) Option ELEKTR NIKA

  4. END to END Loss Measurement with (MTTS) ELA 10 in MTTS transmitting and receiving modes provides: ■ Transmitting 35 frequencies at the same time ■ Receiving 35 frequencies at the same time Frequency range: 200 to 3600 Hz, frequency step: 100 Hz The advantages of MTTS : ■ Quick and comfortable ■ No synchronization is necessary between transmitter and far endreceiver ELA 10 in 35 FREQ transmitting mode ELA 10 in 35 FREQ receiving mode ELEKTR NIKA

  5. Noise Measurement ELA 10 provides : ■ Noise measurement with selectable weighting filters ■ Noise measurement with Psophometer filter and 1020 conditioning tone ■ 1020 Hz conditioning tone generation ELEKTR NIKA

  6. Spectrum Analyser Spectrum analyser of ELA 10 is intended to: ■ analyse the in-band and out-band noises ■ analyse the level of distortion products Selectable Ranges Selectable Evaluation Modes ELEKTR NIKA

  7. Impedance Measurements ELA 10 provides three impedance measuring modes: ■ Measurement with one single frequency (200 Hz to 10 kHz) ■ Measurement with 35 frequencies at the same time (200 to 3600 Hz) ■ Measurement in sweep mode (200 Hz to 9 kHz) Option ELEKTR NIKA

  8. Return Loss Measurement Return loss factor indicates the deviation of line impedance from the nominal value. ELA 10 performs a bridge measurement comparing the line impedance to an internal Rn normal resistor. Three return loss measuring modes are provided: ■ Measurement with one single frequency (200 Hz to 10 kHz) ■ Measurement with 35 frequencies at the same time (200 to 3600 Hz) ■ Measurement in sweep mode (200 Hz to 9 kHz) Option ELEKTR NIKA

  9. Balance (LCL) Measurement ELA 10 provides LCL measurement using the test circuit described in ITU-T Rec. 0.9 Tested line Three balance measuring modes are provided: ■ Measurement with one single frequency (200 Hz to 10 kHz) ■ Measurement with 35 frequencies at the same time (200 to 3600 Hz) ■ Measurement in sweep mode (200 Hz to 9 kHz) Option ELEKTR NIKA

  10. Echo Test There are several reasons for the undesirable quality degradation and the appearance of audible echoes is one of them. This kind of quality degradation is inherent in the network equipment and the enduser phone devices. For the test of the disturbing echoes ELA 10 transmits short ~1020 Hz signal packets with proper amplitude shaping and measures the amplitude and the traveling time of the reflected signal. Time [s] • Measuring ranges • ■Traveling time range: 15 to 2500 ms • ■Time resolution: 5 ms • ■Amplitude indication: down to -60dBm ELEKTR NIKA

  11. Group Delay Distortion Measurement The group delay distortion measurement needs two ELA 10 instruments connected to the ends of the tested pair. One of them transmits a test tone the other one receives and evaluates it. ELA 10 applies: The multi tone test (MTTS) method described in the recommendation ITU-T O.81 Appendix I. ELA 10 performs Group delay distortion and level measurements simultaneously. ELEKTR NIKA

  12. Phase Jitter & Frequency Error Measurement The jitter and frequency error measurement needs two ELA 10 instruments connected to the ends of the tested pair. One of them transmits a jitter free quartz accurate 1020 Hz test tone the other one receives and evaluates it. ELA 10 performs the two measurements simultaneously according to rec. ITU-T O.91 ELEKTR NIKA

  13. Interruption Analysis The interruption analysis needs two ELA 10 instruments connected to the ends of the tested pair. One of them transmits 1020 Hz test tone the other one receives it and detects the micro interruptions according to rec. ITU-T O.62. An interruption is detected when the level of the received test tone drops below a designated threshold for more than 0.6 ms. Short form information Histogram The measuring time is adjustable between 5 min and 72 hours. List ELEKTR NIKA

  14. Simultaneous Event Counter The event test needs two ELA 10 instruments connected to the ends of the tested pair. One of them transmits a test tone the other one receives it and simultaneously counts the number of events like: ■Amplitude hits (described in rec. ITU-T O.95) ■Phase hits (described in rec. ITU-T O.95) ■Interruptions (described in rec. ITU-T O.61) ■Noise impulses (described in rec. ITU-T O.71) Measuring times: 5, 15, 30, 60 min Maximum count: 65000 for each counter ELEKTR NIKA
