  2. Setting The story takes place in the present. The is team mostly at S. Wendell's house. It is a black two story mansion with heavy protection. S. Wendell has a fence going around his whole house with two giant guard dogs defending inside. He has an ultra tech security built in the house. He also owns a store with another security system inside it. The store is small, but every square inch inside is filled with old time collectibles.

  3. Main Characters • Griffin Bing has light blond hair with thick curls. He has bright blue eyes and is very smart. Griffin is a nice young boy that is very sneaky. His friends call him the Man With The Plan. • Ben Slovak has dark brown hair and deep black eyes. Ben is very kind, but shy. Ben likes to have fun, but he has a problem. He needs more sleep than a regular person. • S. Wendell Palomino is short and stocky. Swindle is what people call him since he’s such a jerk. He is young in his mid 30’s with curly hair, bushy eyebrows, thick glasses and pudgy hands.

  4. Conflict Griffin and Ben spend the night in the old Rockford house. Griffin searched the whole house and found an old Babe Ruth baseball card. Griffin and Ben wanted to know how much it was worth so they to Swendell’s store. Swendell claimed it was fake so he only gave them $120. Then later that night Griffin turned on the TV and he saw Swendell on the news saying the Bambino was worth a million bucks. Swendell has cheated Griffin and Ben from the fortune.

  5. Resolution Griffin makes a plan to steal the card back. He gathers a team to get what was rightfully his. Darren carried the ladder to the mansion with his strong muscles . Pitch climbed up with everyone else with a harness on. They went in through the skylight bedroom window. The team made the break in but, Pitch rolled her ankle. They instantly found the safe and burned into it. The prize wasn’t there. Logan was distracting the neighbor across the street from all the ruckus. Melissa deactivated the alarm system while Ben was the lookout. The team went down stairs and saw two giant dogs. Savannah rushed into the kitchen. She threw a twenty pound turkey for the dogs to eat. The baseball card fell out from the turkey and the team got what they were looking for.

  6. Your Opinion I thought this book was special. It made the opposite of what you would think. This book was really outside the box. This book was just like watching an action filled movie. This book was awesome.

  7. About The Author 1. Gordon Korman wrote his first book when he was 12 on accident. 2. Gordon’s secret to writing good books are a combination between real life and pure imagination. 3. Gordon first came to the U.S. as a college student in the film and film writing department at New York University. 4.Gordon’s favorite book as a kid was the “ Great Brain” series. 5. Gordon Korman has written about 55 books.

  9. Summary Griffin and Ben spend the night at the old Rockford house. When Griffin stumbles upon an old Babe Ruth card him and Ben go see how much it’s worth. Swendell tricks them by saying it’s fake. When Griffin finds out that Swendell tricks him the battle is on. Griffin gets a group of skilled kids together to get back what was rightfully his. The team goes in the heavily secured house to get back the card. Each person had their own job. They executed the mission fine, but they had a little surprises. Griffin gets the card, but police swarm him. At the end Darren gets all the money.
