1. New Guidelines on rating applications for Ph.D (CSE) 7.5 for the following: • MPhil • MPhil expected with GPA ≥3.5/4.3 • MSc (by research) with average mark ≥85 or GPA ≥3.5/4.3 • BSc with 1st class honours or average mark ≥85 or GPA ≥3.4/4.0 • MSc (by taught courses) with distinction 7.0 for the following: • MSc (by research) with average mark 75 – <85 or GPA 3.0 – <3.5/4.3 • MPhil expected with GPA 3.0 – <3.5/4.3 or MSc (by research) expected with average mark 75 – <85 or GPA 3.0 – <3.5/ 4.3 • BSc with 2nd upper class honours or average mark 75 – <85 or GPA 3.0 - <3.4/4.0 • MSc (by taught courses) with credit Stacks

2. Candidates from the following seven Mainland universities with an average mark of 82.5/100 or above in courses that are related to the candidate’s discipline of study would be considered for admission using UGC-funded quota. • Beijing University • Fudan University • Nanjing University • Tsinghua University • University of Science and Technology of China • Zhejiang University • Shanghai Jiaotong University Stacks
