  3. research Apps are becoming nowadays increasingly more available and used daily. Examples of apps used a lot are social media sites including Facebook and twitter. As well there is a number of apps that while good are just for entertainment use and not useful. From looking at a variety of apps we have found that many are entertainment so our app we decided would be useful for the user in there day to day life’s.

  4. ideas The design to the left is an app which allows you to put in your favourite places to go (e.g. McDonalds) then where ever you are the app shows on a map your location and the closest favourite location The design to the left is an app with a budget tracker this is a continuation on from our Ambient Device which was the credit card which helped you keep track of your money. To the left shows how the app buttons will look on the iPhone. To the left shows how the app buttons will look on the iPhone.

  5. ideas The design to the left is an app which is a memory stick on your phone which is wirelessly connected to a laptop or computer. This app would be useful because memory sticks are small and get lost easily. The design to the left is an app which is an access card based of the access card at Northumbria University to buildings and the Library. The card is lost regularly by students so having a phone version would be useful. To the left shows how the app buttons will look on the iPhone. 6. Developed ideas The design to the left is a development of the budget app with a tracker bar and a way to set a budget for weekly, monthly and yearly. This type of app would be useful because more and more we are going towards a time when phones and apps on a phone will help us in day to day life in this case paying for stuff instead of credit cards. The design to the left is a development of the favourite map app with a map showing where you are right now and then a way to click your favourite location and the closest one will come up on the screen. This would be a useful app for travellers especially. • Online Banking • Phone Payments • Finance Help £20.40 Budget Setter 7 6 1 2 3 5 9 8 0 < 4 Weekly Favourite Locations = Your Location Monthly Yearly

  7. Further research Your kids will be 100% digital, so why not start them out that way? With iAllowance you're the bank, your kids the customers. They accumulate money (or stars) via an allowance and chores. When your children want to make a withdrawal, you give them the cash, and debit their account. The Cadillac of money management apps: Connect your bank accounts, bills, credit cards, loans, cellphone minutes, and travel reward programs into one system that has bank-level security. You get a complete financial overview. Pageonce is adding bill payment for about the price of a stamp per bill.

  8. Further research Snap a picture, deposit a check. Other bank apps have this feature, but Ken Tumin of DepositAccounts.com calls Chase "the gold standard for remote deposit. "What else? Bill payments and customizable alerts -- an IM, say, when your spouse taps a joint account. Owe someone $20 but don't have cash? With this app and a PayPal account, you can transfer money at no charge. Enter the payee's e-mail or cellphone number. Once alerted to the transfer, the recipient logs into PayPal or opens an account

  9. Final idea This is our final design for the budget app which was inspired by out Ambient Device which means you can set a weekly, monthly or yearly budget and then a bar will help you track your budget to make sure you don’t overspend.
