  1. The Game… The Gate Chasers…The Brandenburg Gate Key The object is to find the location of the lost “Key” to the Brandenburg Gate and “Checkpoint Charlie”.

  2. the Brandenburg Gate… • Your object is to locate the exact place in Europe where the missing Key is. The Key is no ordinary key, but rather the one key that is able to unlock the gate from East to West Berlin. In order to determine its location, you must piece together the clues from spies in various European locations. Many of the spies are suspected to reside in member nations of the European Union.

  3. How it is played… • You and a partner will work to decipher which places on the list you may receive a clue from. • After you have identified the correct city for each set of information, you will receive a clue from the spy in each city. • This clue will point you in a direction and combined with all of the clues, will lead to the final location of the gate Key and finally unlock the “Iron Curtain”.

  4. Rules… • I will reveal a clue to the cities about every 2-3 minutes. • If you don’t initially figure out where it is, you may work on the next one. • You may also work on them in any order. • The first pair to find out where the ---- is located will receive bonus points and is done.

  5. More rules… • It is important that you do not share your discoveries with other students in the class. Since you want to be the first group done, giving away your clues will hinder that and cause the game to not work as well • Just finishing the game is worth all 30 points. Quitting will not give you all the points.

  6. Bern, Switzerland Iberian Peninsula Brussels, Belgium The Bosporus Barcelona, Spain Rome, Italy Reykjavik, Iceland Norwegian fjords The Highlands Copenhagen, Denmark Mont Blanc Monaco Baltic Sea Munich, Germany Northern European Plain You will receive this list to be used like a checklist.“The Places in Europe where the Spies with the clues are hiding…”

  7. ANY QUESTIONS…? IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE WE START… NOW IS THE TIME TO ASK….
