  4. During this time he was a fellow lawyer and helped blacks without resources He always defended the non violence activism inspired on Gandhi After 27 years of prision Mandela continue with the same idea; they can win whites but Mandela said that if they continue never its going to be peace

  5. Mandela served 27 years in Robben Prison and in the 2nd. Of February of 1990 was released from prision by De Klerck During his 27 years on prision some presidents of different countries try to liberate him.

  7. Following his release from prison on 11 February 1990, Mandela supported reconciliation and negotiation, and helped lead the transition towards multi-racial democracy in South Africa.

  8. Mandela has received more than 250 awards over 4 decades, For example in 1993he received the Nobel Peace Prize. In November 2009, the United Nations General Assembly announced that Mandela's birthday, on 18 July, is to be known as Mandela Day to mark his contribution to world freedom.
