  7. FLUJOS DE INVERSION EXTRANJERA DIRECTA EN COLOMBIA En el 2008 Colombia ocupó el cuarto lugar en Inversiones en América Latina con US$9.028 millones. Minería recibió el 23% (US$2.116 millones.). Para el 2009 se estiman inversiones por encima de los US$2.500 para el sector minero. El 12% del total se invirtió en Minería. Principalmente en proyectos de carbón. Cámara ASOMINEROS Retos de la industria minera colombiana • CONTINUAR PROMOCION DE LA IMAGEN POSITIVA DE LA MINERIA POR SUS APORTES SOCIOECONOMICOS Y FISCALES Y SU EFECTIVO MANEJO DEL IMPACTO EN EL MEDIO AMBIENTE. • DISMINUIR LA MINERIA ILEGAL. • MEJORAR AGILIDAD EN APROBACIONES DE TRAMITES MINEROS Y AMBIENTALES. • PROMOVER MAYOR COORDINACIÓN Y COHERENCIA INSTITUCIONAL.
