  4. Less Interested Parties • Less is less • LPAs are no longer statutory interested parties except for Pastoral Church Building Schemes • Or possibly just Less Interested • Deemed consent for s14 orders

  5. Drafting • Dioceses to draft Schemes and Orders (except PCBSs) • Commissioners will still draft if you wish • Guidance notes • Manual and on-line drafting tools

  6. Drafting (2) • Skeletons • Precedents • Legal Opinions

  7. Designating Incumbents • Designating an Incumbent where a benefice is enlarged by a transfer of parish(es) • Simpler drafting • Selecting incumbents for team and group ministries • Consistent with new benefices

  8. Team Ministry Patronage • Team Vicars and Team Rector now members of the Patronage Board • Makes drafting easier • Team Council now exercises parish representatives function in relation to Team Vicars • In line with procedure for Team Rector

  13. Other changes • Assistant Curates • Call them what you like • Can be given special responsibilities • Suspension of Presentation • Can now re-suspend if forget to renew

  14. Transitional Provisions • I’ve started so I’ll finish • If s3 consultations have begun before 11 June proceed as if DPMM not passed • Schemes made but not revoked treated as made under amended provisions • DPC and DRCUC continue until a new DMPC established
