  1. Amazon FBA Reimbursements – All You Need to Know! Selling on Amazon is not just about displaying the products and delivering them to the customers, but there are many other accounting procedures to be followed. Sellers need to claim Amazon FBA reimbursements for the lost inventory, returns and refunds, and other such issues where products are damaged in transport. When the sell volume increases, it gets difficult for the seller to keep track of returns and reimbursements. Hiring the services of refunds manager would make things easier. Some of the common instances where you need to claim a refund are - Missing Inventory – When the inventory gets missing from Amazon’s facility, the cost of the product is to be claimed as reimbursement. This also applies to the inventory that goes missing in the transit. Wrong Fees Calculation – Sometimes, the FBA fees are wrongly charged due to miscalculation. When the dimensions and weight of the product are miscalculated, the resultant charges are also miscalculated. Reimbursements are processed in such a scenario. Inventory Damage – When the inventory gets damaged in transit or at Amazon facility after the inward process is done, the product cost is reimbursed to the seller. Processing of Returns and Refunds – Amazon processes all the returns and refund requests. At times, refunds are processed without receiving the return of the inventory. Also, the inventory is not returned to the seller. This results in the loss or damage of the inventory. The seller would claim the refund in this case. There are many other reasons when refunds and reimbursements are to be claimed by the seller. A regular audit of the Amazon account in terms of inventory and reimbursements would ensure that all Amazon FBA reimbursements are processed well in the validity period. Your Amazon account manager would take care of all these issues through the well-planned audit process. Hence, all you need to do is focus on business, while Amazon consultant manages all other accounting processes.
