  4. Used to describe physical characteristics • and personality traits; NOT FEELINGS • Use the adjectives from 1.07. • If it is a male, all adjectives should end in -o and if it is a female all adjectives will end in -a, -e is a neutral ending for both. • For plural adjectives add an –s.

  5. Choose the correct form of the verb or adjective: Nosotros __________altos. Ellas ______bonitas. Juan y Paula ________listos. Ustedes ________divertidos. Ella es ________(guapo). Nosotrassomos _________(bajo) Vosotrossois_________(inteligente) Paco y Pepe son _________(comico)

  6. Use ‘es la una…’ for 1-1:30 • Use ‘son las…’ for past 1 • Use ‘a las…’ to say at • a certain time • Use …y…within the half hour • After the half hour, move • to the next hour and • subtract number of minutes left • Remember phrase for am and pm: de la mañana, de la tarde, de la noche

  8. -ar verbs: • Use the correct verb ending for each subject • Subjects come after the verbs in Questions • EX: ¿Hablasespañol? • --SÍ, yohabloespaÑol?

  9. Practice: ¿Estudias mucho? ¿Tomas muchosapuntes? ¿Sacasbuenasnotas? ¿Tocas un instrumento?

  10. me, te, le, nos, os, les • agree with the person • use gusta for singular • use gustan for plural • Me gusta el español. • Te gusta el español. • Me gustanlasciencias. • Te gustanlas • matemáticas.

  11. Practice—gusta or gustan?: Me _____el libro. Le ______los tacos. Nos _____la historia. Les ______el arte. Te _____lascomputadoras.
