Saving Money ? • We have sold cars for the same sale fee for 30 years • We have reconditioned cars for the same fee for 30 years • Our mechanical fee is in the mid $30’s per hour verses new car franchise rates over $100 per hour • Our body shop per hour rates are 50% of new car franchise rates

Questions that need answers • Who is saving the money? • Does the car get discounted by the amount of repairs needed based on franchise dealer rates? • Does this mean that the new car dealers buying over the internet will choose the better car that needs no repairs? • Does this mean that cars sold at physical auctions have been picked over? • Does this mean loss dealer participation at physical auctions because the inventories have already been picked over? • Does this mean the over all inventory value gets diluted • Would this mean a downward spiral in book value? • Does this help sell new cars? • Can you value your portfolio by the ????? Left over haven’t been sold upstream downstream midstream.

How do we win? • Don’t be narrow minded – either way- • Don’t guard the same old dog • Continue what you do with a keen understanding of the competition and A more aggressive way of meeting the needs of the customers • Remember what you do well • Nothing happens without transactions • Grant – do what others don’t want to do and do it better and cheaper • Make it fun and meaningful – Be purpose driven
