  1. Is listening to music while studying good? By Liam Eades

  2. Tons of People listen • I listen to music tons, and 80% of the world does to. So one thing I set out to do is answer so questions I had and many of my friends, is listening to music while you study good o?

  3. University of Phoenix • U of phoenix says that listening to music while studying activates the hippocampus that changes short term memory into long term memory. • This helps because lets say your learning Spanish pronunciation this would help you remember the pronunciation.

  4. Take lessons .com • Takelessons.com says it is good to listen to music while you study, but that regular music does no where near as good for you as classical music.

  5. Learningfundementals.com • Learningfundementals.com says that music has no real effect in learning capacity, but that in some cases it motivates people to work

  6. My study • For my study I took three people, one a good reader, one a average reader and one a poor reader. • This will make sure all demographics are covered in general reading capacity.

  7. I took three passages and had the participates read the first one with out music, one with quite music, and one with loud rock music. This brings the point from the online study by that says loud music doesn’t help near as much as soft music.

  8. questions • First after they where done reading it once I would take the passage away and ask them, • What was the main idea of that passage? • What was the first date mentioned? • How many paragraphs where there?

  9. Results- the good reader • The good reader did better with loud music. And also said that when there wasn’t music one she got distracted by noises around her such as talking.

  10. The average and poor readers • The average and poor readers had the same conclusions. • The type of music did not matter, they scored better with just music on.

  11. Conclusion • So looking over all the evidence listening to music while studying is good for you no matter what music you listen to.
