  2. Gan Su has an area that is 13 times the total area of the whole island of Taiwan. Its population is 30 million, more than the population of Taiwan. Gan Su Magnitude 8 Magnitude 7.5

  3. The earthquake has affected 42,000 families and left 326 people dead while more than 7,121 were severely injured. 176,000 people lost their properties, livelihoods, belongings, etc. 113,000 houses were totally destroyed and 2,678 school buildings were torn down to rubbles.

  4. A woman in the midst of the rubbles… devastated by the earthquake. This boy’s leg was amputated.

  5. A woman lamented in distress. Lives were totally wrecked Children were left orphans…

  6. … countless people suffer the effect of the earthquake

  7. People evacuated to temporary shelters…

  8. Members of the CATHOLIC SANIPAX SOCIO-MEDICAL SERVICE AND EDUCATION FOUDATION were warmly welcomed in Gan Su Airport.
