  9. RIGHT To describe a location You must include 3 things in your description: • reference point • direction from the reference point • distance from the reference point

  12. RIGHT Position as a Vector A vector is a quantity that has both a direction and a size (magnitude). Arrow = vector

  19. LEFT Example 2 Example 1 Start from inside the classroom and turn left as you leave the door (going outside). Walk for about 30 yards. You will see a wire fence in front of you. Turn left and walk for about 60 yards. The playground will be on your left. Go outside and head East for 58 steps. Then go North and walk for about 100 steps. You will probably see a lot of children. Ask one of them where to go.
