  15. What about Eskimos? Eskimo is not the name of any groups in the Arctic! Eskimo is a nickname that was developed over time.

  17. Hunting Gear Instead of guns, people in the Arctic developed harpoons. This was the main tool used to hunt animals for food.

  18. Transportation Dog sleds: Were a useful way to travel across the snow. Kayaks: Were very helpful when traveling by water and hunting in the ocean.

  19. Homes Igloos!! They are not very common anymore but, igloos were the homes of those who lived in the arctic.

  20. Homes A more popular home that is in a karmat, which is a hut built with stone, whalebone, and sod.

  21. Warmth Caribou-skin or polar bear-skin kept the people in the Arctic warm.
