  1. Asosvs badger

  2. Images (360 degree turn, zoom) This communication technique connects well with the customer because they get a life like feel of viewing each angle of the product, just like you would in a shop. The benefits of this is that they will be able to see fully if they want the product or not. These images have been taken from the asos website, as you can see there is a 360 degree turn and a zoom option. Badgers doesn't have this, they’re missing out on a good opportunity.

  3. Social Networks Asos uses social networking sites such as facebook and twitter, this promotes the business and gets involved with the customers. By using twitter and facebook people can receive updates straight to their phone, millions of people use facebook and twitter so its being seen by a large group of people. Badgers do no use social networking sites, this is another opportunity missed.

  4. Discounts/Offers As soon as you enter the asos website you are shown the discounts and offers available on the site, this is a good way of keeping the customer on the site. People are always attracted by sales and discounts for the reason of saving money, especially in the recession. Badgers don't have any discounts or offers on their website, this is stupid because customers always want to feel like they are receiving there clothes for the best offer possible.

  5. Easy categories and sub-headings Asos has 5 categories as shown in the picture, dropped down from each category is a list of other categories inside that. This is a brilliant way of communicating with the customers because they can access the clothes they are looking for easily and quickly. Badgers don’t use any categories or sub-headings, they’re missing out on a fantastic opportunity.

  6. Magazine’s • Asos publishes its very own personal magazine with celebrities on the cover modelling some of their clothes. If customers see celebrities wearing clothes from asos then they will think that its popular and in-fashion. This is a brilliant way of communicating with the customer. • Badger on the other hand haven't taken advantage of this great communication method.

  7. Blogging ASOS life blog allows you to communicate with other customers about anything you want to, you are shown information about competitions, news and you're also given advice. This is a great way of communicating because of the fact people are felt wanted by the asos website. Badgers don’t use blogging of any sort, another opportunity they’re missing out on.

  8. Mobile use You can access the asos website directly from your phone. By doing this there is an advantage of easy access for the customer wherever they are. Badger on the other hand don’t have a separate mobile website.

  9. Badgers This is a screen of the badgers website, as you can see it shows you the price of some items but you cannot buy anything off of the website, on asos you can. A good electronic method badgers do use though is the use of an online catalogue giving you a real-life feeling, by being able to turn the pages.

  10. Conclusion In conclusion asos have a much better website because they have more ways of communicating with the customer and also more effective ways. I think the badgers website needs to be reviewed by the owners because it doesn't make me as a customer want to stay on the site and even look around.
