  3. What is PBIS? • Peruse the article you’ve been given: • Article A: What is PBIS? • Article B: The Impact of PBIS in Schools • Get in pairs (A + B) and “jigsaw”– Share some “big ideas” from the articles with each other. • Be prepared to talk about some of the big ideas with the whole group.

PBIS Word Sort • In groups of 4-5, sort the cards found in the envelope into categories. • HINT: The “Data, Systems & Practices” graphic is a highly useful guide to get you started! • Explain why you think each card belongs to a particular category. Use your persuasive skills yet listen to others views! • When your group is done, decide on an overarching “big idea” to title your sort. • Be prepared to share some thoughts with the whole group.
