  3. Compound Event A compound event combines two or more events, using the word and or the word or. • Example: • You choose a card from a standard deck of 52 playing cards. • Find the probability that you choose • A Queen OR an Ace • A King OR a Spade

  6. Mutually Exclusive vs.Overlapping Events Mutually Exclusive Events have no common outcomes. Overlapping Events have at least one common outcome.
