  6. MIND • Do not conform to the pattern of world’s thinking. • Make every thought captive and obedient to Christ. • Set mind on things above. • Think beautiful; An idle mind is the workshop of the devil.” • Trust God for a steadfast and peaceful mind. • “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”

  8. SPIRIT “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and sound mind.

  9. Spirit (cont’d) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

  23. A. WHY VALUES? 1. Without values, we are like bubbles that are bound to burst. 2. Without values, we are like skin and bones. There is no heart that can feel, no mind that can understand and no soul that can endure.

  24. A. WHY VALUES? (cont) 3. Without values, we are only a sea of faces without an identity. We are only a mass of body decaying in the valley of fears and tears. But when we have values and embody them in our lives, we transcend animal existence. We become the top of creation. We become children of God.

  25. VALUES… Christian Values… • can restore us to our original nature of oneness, unity and conquest. With these values, we remain strong like a ship with a strong rudder. With these values, we are not helpless floatsam under the mercy of whims of the winds.
