  2. Sobreyo… • I have been teaching Spanish at MIS for 14 years. • I have a husband named Logan, and a 13 month old son named Lars and a 9 year old dog named Molly. • I am an only child. • I live in Torrance and I grew up in Manhattan Beach.

  3. Educación… • I went to UCSB and majored in English and minored in Spanish. • I also studied at Veritas University in San Jose, Costa Rica for a summer and lived with a family and traveled all over the country. • I have a masters in teaching from Chapman University. Viajes… • Internationally, I have traveled to Spain, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, and Costa Rica, France, Netherlands, England, Belgium, Tahiti, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Canada & the Netherlands. • Within the US I have been to Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, & Washington D.C.

Español1 and 2De la clase… • Lo que túnecesitas… • pencils & eraser • pens-blue or black ink • pen-other than blue or black ink • agenda planner • loose leaf paper • separate 3-ring Spanish binder or tab in a multi-subject binder • *optional: Spanish/English dictionary, markers/crayons/colored pencils, scissors, glue, ruler

  6. Tarea: • Homework board • Nightly homework, quizzes/projects/test dates • El Centro Estudiantil: • No name papers • Turn in bins • Supplies

  7. Baño/Armario: • Leave a ticket and sign out in order to leave the classroom to go to locker or bathroom • Boletos: • Turn in EC tickets for points

  8. La Biblioteca: • Lectura Libre: lunes y miércoles • Spanish 1: 5 minutes • Spanish 2: 10 minutes • Record what pages you read and write a 1 sentence summary. • Turned in for 2 points per entry at the end of the Trimester.

  10. Notas: • Participation Star Sheets • Collected at the end of the trimester. Worth 100 points per trimester. • Quizzes • 1-2 per chapter • Tests • 1 per chapter • Finals • January & June- 50 questions multiple choice

  11. Projects • In class/At home • Extra Credit projects • 1 per trimester • Classwork • Grading: completion & accuracy • Homework • Assigned on Mondays and collected on Fridays
