Literacy vendors: Library, Literacy Forsyth, Faith House, Lanier Tech, PTO (LMMS, Chestatee & NFHS), Community Connections • Wheels: NASCAR, Stock car, racing school, Tumble bus, motorcycles, limos, fire & rescue, and even a unicycle! ANNOUNCING: REV UP YOUR SCHOOL YEAR EVENT AUGUST 29th WE NEED YOUR WHEELS! August

Partnership with The Family Dinner Project – a non-profit grass roots organization • September – Bringing Homework To the Table • October – Take Back the Dinner Table – Talking About School • November – Becoming a Parent Leader • January – Responding to Peer Pressure • February – Understanding Your Report Card • March – CRCT & Assessments • April – Using the Computer for school at Home • Students will cook part of the meal and serve to tables • Students from the cooking club and self-contained class will work collaboratively with us on this project • Food for the body and food for thought • 3rd & 4th Thursdays of each month 6:30 pm September

  4. Students will gather around a campfire to hear and write stories from the mystery genre under direction of magician/writer Tommy Johns • Johns will work with 8th graders during the end of the day leading up to the event • Johns will perform magic tricks to add to the mystery of the evening • Ghost Stories and Mock Campout with guest speaker Tommy Johns • October 4, 2012 • 6:30 p.m. October

  5. All Hands on Deck – Family Math Night • Parents and students will learn and practice math games that help with basic skills Join Us for Card Games that teach math 11/1/12 6:30 p.m. Media Center • Title I Family Math Night • November 1, 2012 • 6:30 November

Mustang Gallery Crawl – Will feature the work of Title I students in all academic areas – work will be displayed on lockers over butcher paper so people can leave comments as they crawl • Parents will participate in an interactive survey “The Day in the Life of A Classroom” where they will critique each classroom as an exhibit and look for evidence for each of the 6 keys • A Student Display for Semester Accomplishments • in an • Art Gallery/Museum Format • December 6, 2012 • @ 6:30 pm December

  7. A Science Fair where everybody wins! January 24, 2013 6:30 p.m. • Science Fair led by science teachers • Pizza provided by Papa John’s • Lotto – prizes every 20 minutes from a lotto board January

  8. LMMS Underground will be a Vegas style line up of venues in which each area will host a type of mock entertainment setting of student performances • A Poetry Coffee House • LMMS Live – Mock character interviews • Mustang Game Room with math card games UNDERGROUND L M M S February

  9. Family Game Night with CRCT prep games • An informative presentation on assessment will be presented prior to the game March

  10. A multimedia event in which parents will learn the basics of using multimedia tools to create projects for school • Edmodo tips & tricks will also be presented April

  11. This event will feature healthcare professionals in the area that offer services at reduced or no cost. • The Park & Rec from Forsyth County will present programs available for students in the summer May
