  2. Is a part of territory of Poland (greenfield/brownfield) in which business may be run on special conditions. Entrepreneurs that obtained permit may run business activities without being subject to full payment of income tax. • Major purpose of SEZ is to support local growth • There are 14 SEZ+ subzones • Cumulative area = 25 000 ha • SEZ will operate at least until 2026 • Permits to conduct activities in SEZ are issued by the authorities of each SEZ • Minimum investment:EUR 100 000 • Possibility of including the land selected by an investor into SEZ POLISH SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES

Why is it worth investing in the PSEZ? • Convenientlocation for investments: prepared industrial areas in the northern part of Poland near main communication routes and in the vicinity of international airports and seaports. • A permit to conduct business in the PSEZ authorizing an entrepreneur to take advantage of public aid in the form of tax exemptions by virtue of the costs of new investment of creation of new jobs. • Public aid • End-to-end service of each investment project provided by a professional team led by an advisor dedicated to each investor: • support during the procedure of application for the zone permit • support in the form of the post-investment care: • Implementation of a range of supplementary ventures and ventures expanding the zone activity, including: • Gdańsk Science and Technology Park: its extensive activity supports the development of start-ups, ICT, new technologies, science and others • Baltic Port of New Technologies in Gdynia: located in the former Gdynia Shipyard, it includes the construction of a modern environment to support the shipbuilding and related industries, • active support of vocational education: including initiatives responding to an investor’s demand, integration of the cooperation between vocational schools and technical high schools and entrepreneurs, • cooperation of the business with science:cooperation with universities

  7. FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES CREATED IN POMERANIA There is an Intel R&D centre in Gdansk, which is the largest in Europe and second globally, employing more than 1200 people. Most of staff comes from Gdansk University of Technology and works on technologies that will be available on the market in 4 to 5 years. Intel has no problems attracting employees. When building HR support team with Hebrew people migrated from Torun (the only city with Hebrew linguistic faculty in country). New building of Intel in Gdansk Both centers have been successfuly developing advanced cartographic solutions for both Lufthansa and Boeing using experience and talent of Pomeranian software developers, engineers, pilots and metheorologists. Both centers observe steady growth employing houndreds of people. Around 40% of Jeppesens’ staff comes outside of Tricity. Employees come bothfrom neighbouring regions,and farthestplaces of Poland.
