UNDP GM Strategy: • UNDP Corporate Policies, strategies, best practices • Gender Profile of KR, international commitments, national gender policies, legislation, NPRS; • UNDP Mid-term Programme Review Mission’s Recommendations; • Approaches to & tools for gender mainstreaming in UNDP Kyrgyzstan CO and Programmes; • Forms & tools for gender sensitive trainings, reporting, project planning etc. • Financial & Human Resources; • Roles and responsibilities; • M&E.

  3. All UNDP programmes in KR include gender as a cross cutting issue • *GM Cou ntry Programmes Gender Coordinator, • GM Specialist; • Project Assistant; • WE • Project Coordinator (SIDA); • Finance Assistant; • Administrative Assistant

RR (endorses the GMS through MoU) DRR (enforcement of GMS, approval of JGWP) GFP (link between gender unit and CO, support to CPGC in GM) HR GFP to be appointed. --------------- UNIFEM Gender Adviser to RC(technical expertise, coordination with the other UN Agencies, technical support to GTG etc) UN GTG(Joint Programme on GE) UNDP CO: Political support

Key approaches to GM in Programmes Policy advice • BPFA, CEDAW& MDGs; • National Action Plans for Gender Development; • Legislation; • NPRS; • Consultations, gender analysis, data basis, political discourse Advocacy • Public awareness campaigns; • High Level Meetings; • Wide range of information materials & etc. Capacity building Trainings, mentoring etc: • demystify the gender mainstreaming and operationalise it; • raise the level of gender-responsiveness.

  6. National Counterparts: • Parliamentary Committee on GE& women’s group; • women’s machinery; • sectoral ministries; • Local self - governments; • GFPs the Ministries and Agencies • NGOs & CBOs
