Income inequality by age group in Benin in 2011: An approach from National Transfer Accounts.

This paper presents evidence of income inequality by age group in Benin using the National Transfer Accounts (NTA) approach. The study utilizes data from household surveys, national accounts, and socio-economic indicators, and emphasizes the importance of age structure in understanding income inequality.

Nextstep? • Regardless of labor income distribution, the NTA method shows us evidence of income inequality. • The economic review on income inequality test of integrating population age structure in explaining income inequality factors Albrecht et Garret (2009). • The age structure of the population is paramount in the NTA methodology. So, our questioning is how to use the NTA methodology to explain the determinants of income inequality. This is the next step. NTA 11, Saly, Senegal, 2016. .
