  3. 8:45 am World Trade Center, New York City, NY

  4. 8:46 am – New York City, NY The North Tower of the World Trade Center is struck by an airline jet.

  5. 9:03 am – New York City, NY The South Tower of the World Trade Center is struck by a second airline jet.

  6. 9:37 am - Arlington, VA The Pentagon is struck by a third airline jet. The Pentagon is the headquarters for the United States department of Defense.

  7. 9:59 am – New York City, NY The South Tower begins to collapse at the World Trade Center.

  8. 10:03 am – Somerset County, PA A fourth airline jet is crashed in Pennsylvania. The jet became known as “Flight 93”. The passengers prevented the jet from being crashed into any more buildings.

  9. 10:28 am – New York City, NY The North Tower begins to collapse at the World Trade Center. Both towers are now gone.
