He shows the reader the Iverson they never knew.

  4. Card # 3 The Beginning • In the beginning of the book Allen Iverson’s mother was pregnant with him. • Then after his mother came back home from given birth to him she decided to not live with her father because there were to many drug dealers and crimes and she did not want Allen Iverson involved. • But then, Allen’s mom meet a man named Michael Freeman and let them live with him. • After living there for 15 years Allen Iverson got tiered of the sewage pipes bursting so the floor was wet and no food, water, or light he had a plan to make it to the NBA.

  5. Card #4 The Middle • Critics were saying Allen Iverson should not be in the NBA and he is a criminal. • In Allen Iverson’s second game he had to vs. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. • A person on the Bulls named Dennis Rodman was making rumors that Allen Iverson said he hates everyone he plays on the court. • Allen Iverson was named MVP at the Rookie All-star game. • Reebok sold Allen Iverson’s shoes called “The Question” nationwide.

  6. Card # 5 The Lakers blew through the Western Conference playoffs. The journalist would start coming the most in the NBA finals when the 76ers made it to the finals and all of them wanted Allen Iverson. Allen Iverson’s jersey was the best seller. Allen and Shaq both scored 41 points in the first game of the NBA playoffs. The 76ers won the first game 107 to 101 in a overtime victory. Shaq was named MVP in the season. After the very last NBA game for the playoffs when Allen lost Allen was just glad he got this far with his teammates.

  7. Card #9 • Biography Card • Three personality traits for Allen Iverson is that he is fearless because when someone lied that Allen hit someone with a chair and he went to jail and he was not afraid. • Another is he is a leader because he lead the 76ers to the NBA finals. • The last one is he is kind because unlike some basketball players that don’t sign auto-graphs for their fans when they have free time to do that or answer fan mail but Allen will.

  8. Cards#10 • The goals that Allen Iverson set was to become MVP and win a division championship. • The challenges that Allen set was to face a hall of famer like Michael Jordon and to live in a house for a long time with no light, food, or water. Also, a other challenge is that he had to save his sister with a bad disease. • What I learned from Allen is that you should never give up on anything and don’t listen to people if they make rumors about you.

  9. Card #11 • The type of people I learned about are poor, basketball players, and jerks. • The conditions during this time was not good because there were a lot of drug dealers and gangs. • I would like to live in this time because then I could see Michael Jordon play basketball. • I think it is a disadvantage because of the economy.

  10. Card #12 • Author’s Purpose • The author’s purpose of this book is to never give up your dreams.

  11. Card # 13 • I like this book because it talks about two of my favorite things like basketball because it is my second favorite sport and Allen Iverson because he is one of my favorite basketball players.
