  2. Lighting/Control Upgrade (Livingstone Tower)University of Strathclyde • Lighting surveys were completed by an electrical contractor to provide ‘as-installed‘ lighting/wiring drawings. The contractor was provided with an MS Excel template to record lighting load details at a room level, note installation issues and record space type control requirements. • The contractor produced upgrade proposals (based on the University’s lighting and control specification) with ‘as-proposed’ drawings, a costed equipment schedule, and an updated lighting load sheet demonstrating the cost and energy savings of the ‘as-proposed solution. • The project was delivered in parallel to planned fire safety and fabric upgrades in the building, which allowed for fee sharing efficiencies with our project management team. • The first of 14 planned lighting upgrades, this pilot required a substantial re-think of our lighting and control specification, commissioning procedures, and occupant hand over protocols.
