  1. Cross Functional Team to Resolve Seat Track Alignment Issue Seat Track Tiger TeamJuly 2011Kyle Starck / Matt Berden

  2. Mitigation of Non-Conforming Conditions Conditions Proposal | Tech Study 476 – investigate correlation between partner & cell 10 align

  3. Movement from Cell 10 to Cell 20 • Proposal • Move seat track join back to Cell 10 • Status • Workshop performed to evaluate feasibility – Complete • Process tested on LN 49, 50 • Opportunity to complete LN 54 & 55 before they leave Cell 10 • LN 56 will be first official start • Opportunities • Allows baseline jobs to be transferred into Cell 20 from Cell 30 • Seat track join no longer keeps everyone off the fuselage in Cell 20 • Help Needed • None Starting on LN 56 seat track joined in Cell 10

  4. Engineering Allowances • Proposal • Increase tolerance for WL & BL from +/- .030 • Status • Stress has approved change • +/- .050 Lateral deflection • +/- .100 Vertical deflection • CR going to CCB3 this week • Establish implementation for LN 57 • Help Needed • None Stress approves tolerance increase during integration

  5. Section 11/45 Section 43 Barrel Alignment in Cell 10 • Proposal • Implement automated laser measurement of seat tracks • Provide alignment team with the ability to receive instant feedback on seat track location • Status • Initial automation programming of the laser tracker complete – Barry Cooke • Test runs completed on LN 53 & 54 • Programming revision to provide production friendly interface (No CAMS) – In work • Implement in production on LN 56 • Help Needed • None Implement on LN 56

  6. OOT Seat Tracks Provided by Partners • Proposal • Improve partners’ build process • Status • Hardware Variation Summit – 4/18/11 • Weekly WebEx • Measurements throughout process - Complete • Trip to KHI (organized by LCPT) – Cancelled • Process improvement – None • Help Needed • Complain on a Leadership level about seat tracks provided by KHI • KHI refuses to implement tolerances for aft end of seat tracks • Send BSC team to KHI to explain deficiencies in process BSC team needs to go to KHI

  7. KHI Process Deficiencies • Floor beams not tool located in seat track Assy Jig • Floor beams hung from the seat tracks without any shimming • Floor Grid moved and loaded on cart which allows racking, flexing, and sagging • Coordinating alignment holes on the frame fitting and floor beam fitting • Enormous tolerance build up between seat tracks and ABC datum holes • ABC Datum holes to frame datum hole (Barrel shape, skin profile) • Frame datum hole to frame fitting datum hole (hole location, warping of frame) • Frame fitting datum hole to alignment hole (interface betwee • Alignment hole to floor beam fitting datum hole • Floor beam fitting datum hole to seat track hole (Class 3) • Seat track hole (Class 3) to end of seat track • No adjustment made by KHI while loading the floor grid in the barrel • No reference from the seat tracks to the ABD datums BSC team needs to go to KHI
