  • Facilitate management of desertification-related risks

  • Promote visibility and dissemination of project outcomes: experts and general public

  • CIPUD Publication (Brian McIntosh, chair), RPP & A (Maurizio, Sciortino, Ulf Hellden, Brian McIntosh, Joachim Hill, Yves Tourre), Flyer (tbd)

  • Participate to targeted methodological and application-oriented actions to enhance capacity and socio-economical benefits to community at large, ‘The DeSurvey Surveillance System’ (DeSS): includes the DST, dedicated workshop for stakeholders…

Targeted actions for DeSS enhancement

  • Integration of results (R) from different different WPs and WP8

  • in particular (input):

    • - Thematic scientific and technical results (IRD, RIKS, Cranfield U…)

    • Socio-economical results (ENEA…)

  • Maästricht workshop (RIKS): S & T Network (~15), Stakeholders and

  • Users Network (25, including UNCCD Focal Points), Consulting Group

  • (~5) (output) (NRD, ENEA, Cranfield U., IRD...)

  • Electronic and snail-mail dissemination of reports and news to partners and

  • networks from a single adopted file (output); (MEDIAS-France, Noveltis)

  • Validation of new methods on desertification monitoring. DST Prototype
