  2. Question 1 What is a Wave?

  3. Answer 1 A wave is a disturbance or movement that transfers energy through matter and space, without causing any permanent displacement.

  4. Question 2 Does the wave move objects resting on the ocean?

  5. Answer 2 No Objects float on the wave and stay in one place. The sound waves move the object.

  6. Question 3 What is the Crest and Trough?

  7. Answer 3 The Crest is the highest point of the wave and the trough is the lowest point of the wave.

  8. Question 4 What’s a wavelength?

  9. Answer 4 The distance from crest to crest and trough to trough.

  10. Question 5 What is frequency measured in and what does it measure?

  11. Answer 5 Frequency is measured in hertz and it measure cycles per second.

  13. Answer 6 • Transverse waves • Compression waves

  14. Question 7 What is the difference between the two types of waves.

  15. Answer 7 Compression waves moves up and down. Transverse waves moves along back and forth.

  23. Answer 11 Greater. The smaller the wave, the larger the frequency.

  24. Question 12 Mediums can be 3 things, what are those things?
