Its early advertising consisted of little more than the airline's telephone booking number painted in bright orange on the side of its aircraft. Identifies products and their source.   3. Market analysis • Expensive and luxurious short haul flights are becoming a thing of the past. Nowadays low cost airlines provide efficient and frequent services from the UK to nearby European destinations. Customers are beginning to realize that cheaper can also mean better. One of the airlines providing these services is Easy Jet. After its merger with Go Fly in August 2002, it has become one of Europe's biggest and leading low cost airlines.

  5. Marketing objectives • The Airline TV series created by LWT and filmed between 1999 and 2007 made Easy Jet a household name in the United Kingdom. The series, while not always portraying Easy Jet in a positive light, did much to promote the airline during this time.

  6. Marketing strategy • Initially, Easy Jet's employment strategy was to maintain control with minimal union involvement. However in recent years, the airline has adopted a more committed approach with a strategy in place to accommodate unions. • Easy Jet flies mainly to primary airports in the cities that it serves, while Ryanair often chooses secondary airports to further reduce costs.

  7. Market segments • The business keeps the cost of the flight at a low price. • Low budget travelers constitute the main market segment, but leisure and business segments are also served by Easy Jet.

Market structure • Airports market with a view to establishing whether the current market structure works well for consumers. • The budget airline easy Jet closed almost 11 per cent higher yesterday after Hurricane Gustav eased, encouraging buyers and spooking short sellers in travel and transport stocks as the price of oil slipped back towards $100 a barrel.

Market share • Easy Jet recorded a massive market share of 62% on the Nice - Geneva route during April according to data issued by Nice Airport. • This far exceeds the market shares of the other airlines competing on this route during April, with Air France and Air Littoral recently purchased by Swiss Air accounting for only 7% and 30% respectively.   10. Opinion • Easy jet is a good business that will do good for there working strategy and good with customers. • The prices are low, on time, give good attitude for others. • They have Easy Jet Hotels and Easy Jet Holidays.
