  2. Dual Nature of Man • 2 Corinthians 4:16 – “outward man perishing” … “inward man is being renewed day by day” • James 2:26 “body without the spirit is dead” • Matthew 10:28 “kill the body but cannot kill the soul.”

  3. Human Nature Not Changed • Galatians 5:17 “flesh lusts against the spirit” • 1 Timothy 6:10 “love of money…is a root of all kinds of evil” • 1 John 2:15-17 “lust of the flesh…of the eyes…and the pride of life”

  4. Sin Has Not Changed • SIN is still SIN! • It is the transgression of God’s law – 1 John 3:4 • Sin is Still Unrighteousness- 1 John 5:17 • Still Sins of Omission – James 4:17 • Still separates from God – Isaiah 59:1,2 • God Still Hates Sin – Ezekiel 18:4,20

  5. Christ Has Not Changed • His Eternal Nature – Psalm 90:2; Revelation 21:5-8 • Still has All Authority – Matthew 28:18 • The One we are to Hear – Matthew 17:5 • Still our Advocate – 1 John 2:1 • The Son of God has Never Changed- Hebrews 13:8

  6. God’s Plan of Salvation Has Not Changed • 1 Peter 1:24,25 “word of the Lord endures forever” • Still requires: • Faith – Hebrews 11:6; John 8:24; Mark 16:15,16 • Repentance- Acts 17:30 • Confession- Matthew 10:32,33 • Baptism- Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38 • Faithfulness- Revelation 2:10

  7. Death and The Judgment Have Not Changed • Once to die – after this Judgment – Hebrews 9:27 • All must appear before Judgment Seat of Christ – 2 Corinthians 5:10

  8. Hell Has Not Changed • Hell is Still Hell! • Hell is Still a Place- Mark 9:43-49; 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9; Matthew 25:41; 20:15 • Length of time has not changed- Revelation 14:10,11 • Purpose has not changed- Matthew 13:41.42

  9. Heaven Has Not Changed • Still the Dwelling Place of God- Psalm 11:4 • Still has “many mansions”- John 14:2,3 • Still a Place to be Desired by All- Revelation 21:4 • Still a Place of Blessedness & Rest – Revelation 14:13
