Projects and Performances is the gifted and talented enrichment course at RDMS. The course is developed to compact and accelerate learning for an identified group of students. Students will look at a variety of unit projects such as Political Cartoons, NJ Mock Trials, Fractured Fairytales, Persuasive Writing—Defending the Outrageous, Rube Goldberg, Fiction and Non-Fiction studies, and independent projects are encouraged. Students also learn to play American Contract Bridge. According to recent studies, learning bridge can increase a math score up to 50 points, depending on the testing instrument. Performance and writing are also a part of the program. The class is about process, and the skills necessary to understand, execute, and achieve the required results in education.
Students will design, and manufacture and sell their cards. All profits will be donated to a charity of our choice.
