  2. Assignments (Week one)We will focus on the same 5 words for 2 weeks. • Monday: Define the five words • Tuesday: Thinking map with at least 3 of the words • Wednesday: 5-10 students will present some sort of visual image for the 5 words • Thursday: Fill in the blank questions using context clues and knowledge of the word • Friday: 5-10 students will act out the words

  3. Week two • Monday: circle the correct word using context clues and knowledge of the word • Tuesday: Thinking map with at least 3 of the words • Wednesday: Journal writing using the 5 words • Thursday: Review • Friday: Test

  4. Words for September 19 • Foretaste:an advance indication, sampling, or warning • Germinate to begin to grow • Humdrum ordinary, dull, routine • Hurtle: to rush violently • Insinuate: to suggest or hint slyly; to edge into something indirectly
