  1. Pick the best ways to quit smoking Are you ready to quit the habit. That’s great! Here are many ways to quit smoking. Some work better than others. The best plan is the one you can stick with. Consider something that is safe and suits you: 1 Nicotine replacement therapy – This is a best option to consider in your stop smoking plan. Nicotine replacement therapy includes patches, tablets, gum and inhalers. It works by replacing some of the nicotine you get from cigarettes.  Using NRT to quit is much safer than smoking; they do not hold the unsafe chemicals found in tobacco smoke.

If you have to stop because you have a major health issue as an effect of your smoking, quitting the cold turkey way will be the quickest and best technique to improve your health. You can reduce your risks of illness, heart problems and lung infection. 3.  Cutting Down - The give up smoking method of cutting down is lessening the figure of cigarettes smoked per day over a period of time. If patient has asthma, diabetes or other health problems, it can be useful to discuss quitting with a doctor.
