  3. Course Description • Reference searching, reading, analyzing, and understanding are fundamental to scientific research. The purpose of this course is to guide students to find scientific papers related to the topics they are interested in. Through the lectures and practices in the class, students are encouraged to search their own topics, to find reference(s) via Internet resources, to organize information from the reference(s), and to give a presentation at the end of the semester. Through out the project, students will learn how to do both natural and social sciences.

  4. Teaching Methods • Lectures with PowerPoint slides will be presented in the class. Internet resources

  5. Grading • Grades are determined from your attendance (30%) and performance of the final presentation (70%).

  6. Format of The Final Presentation • 6 min. formal presentation plus 2 min. Q & A. • The content of the reference(s) should be presented by Power Point in ENGLISH. • Dress code: casual attire with neither sandals nor slippers (no toes shown).

  7. Other Rules • Be in the class on time • No mobile phone during the class
