  1. HOW MARBLE AND GRANITE ARE MINED

  2. Natural Stone Countertops: A Look Into the Extraction Process HOW IS GRANITE MINED? Mining the earth's raw resources is the first stage in creating a granite slab. These slabs are sourced from distinctive locations, or quarries, all around the world. One of the most popular dimension stones, which are quarried solely to produce blocks or slabs, is granite. HOW IS MARBLE MINED? The first step in the mining process for marble is to find a possible quarrying location. The most reliable method for a geologist to locate a possible vein is an exposed outcrop marble. The location of the marble's cut impacts the slab's overall beauty and, ultimately, the countertop. One cross-cut across the vein as opposed to along the vein, for instance, will have an astonishingly diverse appearance.

  3. From Slab to Fab: Shaping Natural Stone Countertops It is a momentous event to include a piece of art, history, or even the earth itself into your area. Despite coming from large quarries, these stone slabs are not identical reproductions that were made in large quantities. Hand-selecting expensive natural stone to mould into countertops requires significant care on the part of the fabricators. After being removed from the quarry, slabs of natural stone are taken to a fabrication factory where experts shape and cut it to fit the requirements of countertop projects. By allowing them to be selective with their individual vision and watch it come to life, this step forges a link between clients and their natural stone.

  4. The Journey, Completed: A Slice of the Earth Adorning Your Space Natural stone countertops, including the fabrication procedures used to create them, stand out from the competition due to their long, often worldwide journey from the soil to become a beautiful fixture that will last the test of time just as it did before extraction. A marble or granite countertop is the pinnacle of human ingenuity, the embodiment of taking something raw and primal and transforming it into a work of art to be appreciated for generations upon generations. It does much more than simply enhance the aesthetics of your space (which it does with timeless aplomb).
