RESPONSIBILITY and RESPECT • What does it mean to be responsible? • Come to school and classes on time every day • Put away electronics • Have materials ready for class • Pay attention in class • Follow directions • Complete class work and homework on time • Prepare for tests • Clean up your materials and the room

RESPONSIBILITY and RESPECT • What does it mean to be respectful? • Treat all people the way you want to be treated • Take good care of school and personal property • Be polite in words and actions • Share responsibilities and materials with others • Take turns • Keep a positive attitude about yourself and others • Think “You are as important as I am” • Communicate in English for ELA and ESOL

  7. Be Present Come to class every day. Pay attention in class.

  8. Be Prompt Be on time or early for class. Hand in school work when it is due.

  9. Be Prepared Put away electronics. Have class materials ready. Be ready to participate. Write the EQ; Do Bridge work.

  10. Be Polite Smile! Be positive. Speak in turn. Listen to others. Give the respect you want to get. Follow instructions.

  11. Be Productive Work with everyone. Help others. Work hard. Always try. Believe you can!
