PREP Project Goals

  • Individuals with disabilities and their families are prepared for emergency situations

  • The service system is prepared to support individuals with disabilities and their families in the event of an emergency


Underlying project assumptions

Underlying Project Assumptions

  • People with special needs are particularly vulnerable in emergency situations

  • People must be prepared to fend for themselves for 72 hours after an emergency occurs

  • Collaboration must be established before an emergency

  • Emergency preparedness must take place at multiple levels
