  2. Water • Life as we know it, can’t survive without water. Everything on our planet, from early bacteria to early jellyfish to trilobites to the first amphibians to dinosaurs to tiny, shrew-like mammals to wooly mammoths to Homo Sapiens Sapiens (man). Can not survive without water. In case you haven't noticed, this list is in chronological order.

  3. What water is • Water is made up of molecules that have 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. In other words, picture a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very tiny “Mickey Mouse” head. The oxygen atom would be the face and the hydrogen atoms would be the ears!

  4. Why use water wisely? The average American family uses 80 to 200 gallons of water daily! In Los Angeles, we get our water from the Owens Valley and the Colorado River. Think of how much water we waste! Many people around the world have to go a long ways to even find water, and yet we take it for granted! We can use water wisely by the means that follow:

  5. How to use water wisely You can use water wisely by: • Taking a quick shower instead of a bath • Only using the amount of water you need to drink • Don’t overuse the water in your sink • And other water-saving advice

  6. Desalination • Making ocean water consumable by people seems like a mad scientist’s dream, but humanity has figured out how to bypass this conundrum. Its called desalination. However, desalination plants cost a lot of money. Is it worth it?
