  3. Preparation • Place Halter on the horse • Attach a lead rope • Lead the horse to safe location • Tie up the horse

  4. Acquire the necessary grooming supplies • Curry comb • Hard-bristled brush • Soft-bristled brush • Hair comb • Hoof pick

  5. Curry Comb • Approach the horse • Circular motion • Whole torso and neck • Brings the dirt to the surface

  6. Hard-Bristled Brush • Approach from the side • Brush downwards • “Flicking” motion • Brush the whole body • Never brush the face

  7. Soft-Bristled Brush • Whole body • Include the face • “Flicking” wrist motion • Fine particles

  8. Hair Comb • Use on the tail and mane • Start and the ends and work upwards • Stand beside the horse

  9. Hoof Pick • Start at a front leg • V-shape in the hoof • Repeat

  10. Conclusion • Riding • Many opportunities and facilities • Most important aspect
