  8. Almost 2/3 of students with LGBTQ parents reported that they feel unsafe at school. Students from Schools with anti-homophobia policies are significantly more likely to agree that their school administration is supportive of GSAs Being a member of the LGBT community is the most likely factor in attracting bullying. 70% of all students report hearing homophobic comments everyday in school 1 in 5 LGBTQ students reported being physically harassed or assaulted due their sexual orientation. 1 in 5 LGBTQ students reported being verbally harassed about their sexual orientation. LGBT youth are 3.4 times more likely to attempt suicide. 90% of Transgender youth hear transphobic comments daily or weekly from other students. SomeStats!
