Values to be controlled – monitored What this system has to offer as a Detector Control System hardware to be controlled and monitored 2. interaction with other systems (LV) • Monitor of: • Mezz Temperature value • Mezz V analog value • Mezz V digital value • CSM all provided values (e.g. CSM temperature, 2.5 V ref. value) mdt chamber mezz card CSM card

Overview of ELTX DCS Architecture The main asset of the project is the gathering of information spread in several DCS pcs and DBs • Mezz number • Mezz mapping • Mezz masking • Electronic view Atonr_conf PS1 PS2 700 LV channels Atonr ELTX • Sens masking 30” mdm1 pvss oracle mdm2 • History of all important values mdm8 3*14138 sensors

  5. FSM hierarchy and Architecture • The FSM is the main tool for the implementation of the full control hierarchy in ATLAS MDT_Eltx ECA BA BC ECC … SECTOR01 SECTOR02 SECTOR16 … corresponding node picture BIS1A02

  12. The ELTX 4 piece puzzle Each piece can work alone but in order to have a real online status of out detector all pieces should run in parallel and communicate each other.
