  3. There are genetic abnormalities that result from errors during meiosis • Chromosomes do not separate properly during either anaphase I or II. • So some gametes have too many or too few chromosomes • Many of these gametes will die • Some may live and have genetic disorders Abnormal Meiosis:

  4. Is when two homologous chromosomes move to the same pole during meiosis • One cell gets both the homologous chromosomes and the other gets neither of these chromosomes • The result is that all cells in this organism will have this abnormality. Nondisjunction:
