  1. What is TurboDox? What is Data Scanning and Abstraction? What Are The Challenges? The Solution: TurboDox™

  2. WHAT IS TURBODOX? • TurboDoxis a process developed by iMedX to help practices adapt better to EHR’s: • Electronic charts are better than paper (for many reasons) • But Doctors do not like using computers while seeing patients. • Doctors hate typing when they can dictate. • Using a computer slows Doctors down, seeing fewer patients thus losing revenue. • TurboDoxsolves these problems by: • Allowing Doctors to continue to dictate. • The iMedX team transcribes and pulls relevant information from the dictation. • The iMedX team types the information into the EHR.

  3. Why are EHR’s so challenging? Electronic charts (EHR’s) help provide better patient care as information is easily accessible, and can be analyzed better. Doctors believe in the benefits. Getting patient information into the EHR from paper and dictation is a problem A Doctor’s time is better spent on patients than on data entry, but until that patient data is in the EHR, it is useless for patient care or analysis. Doctors are between a rock and hard place They would like the EHR to work for them but hate what they have to do to get the data in

  4. The TurboDox Process: Doctors dictate patient encounters as always – TurboScribe manages the dictation. Patient charts are scanned into TurboDox servers. Additional information from hospitals, referring doctors is scanned or faxed into TurboDox servers. TurboDox trained medical personnel collate, categorize all information. TurboDox personnel extract meaningful information such as allergies, medications, problem lists, History and physical, and insert into the EHR. Doctors have the full benefits of using the EHR with none of the pain! The TurboDox Solution takes historical paper charts, and ongoing patient encounter information to populate the EHR – thus saving the practice time, maintaining physician productivity, and facilitating better patient care

  5. TurboDox: The Solution TurboDox is THE complete solution because it addresses the challenges of EHR implementation for both HISTORICAL and ONGOING patient encounters Leaving you with a useful EHR.
