The Better Opportunities for Single Service Members Program is a highly visible, energetic program for the single service members, single parents, and geographically separated service members serving, stationed and assigned to Fort Gordon, GA. Command involvement is key to the success of the Program. You can be involved by promoting events, encouraging service members to attend events & actively engaging leadership/representatives to allow Service Members the time they need to fulfill this duty Company Commanders’ & First Sergeants’ Course SGT Llewellyn, Robert Fort Gordon BOSS President 1/22/2013

Mission Statement To ensure that single and unaccompanied Service Members on Fort Gordon have an opportunity to surface issues and recommend changes that will enhance well-being, participate in recreational activities of choice and volunteer with community service projects throughout the year. Three Pillars of BOSS • Recreation/Leisure - Events are demand driven • BOSS representatives solicit ideas from Service Members within their units and share them at the Committee meetings • Quality of Life- Provides Service Members an opportunity to enhance their morale and living environment • Issues surfaced include: DFMWR activity areas, dining facilities, transportation, barracks, and education • Community Service- Supports existing volunteer programs • Efforts supported include: Armed Services YMCA, Armed Services Blood Program, Special Olympics, Get Outdoors Gordon SGT Llewellyn, Robert Fort Gordon BOSS President
