  2. Agenda • Make one! • Tentative outline • Send to Vice-Chair and committee members for additions a week or two before your meeting • Revise as needed • Stick to it!

  3. Create Norms for Group Discussion • Examples • All ideas are worth consideration • Take turns • Show respect and avoid sidebar conversations. • Use technology to enhance participation. • Be present – participate and be engaged!

  4. Stick to your allotted time • Additional issues? Add them to a list of future topics for discussion. If needs are immediate as if members could meet virtually ASAP.

  5. Additional Strategies • Appoint a note taker. • Remember to include action items and due dates. • Note next steps.

  6. Committee Chair Transitions • New chairs begin their tenure after annual conference. • Outgoing and incoming chairs should meet and discuss goals, present committee activities, and pass on relevant materials. • Committee Roster • Minutes from last two meetings • List of goals/projects with a status report of each
