  7. Skills needed to perform activity • Advancing the ball to be in position to score. • Sidearm throw, overhand throw, underhand throw • Catching the ball, having a target for the thrower. • Moving in an area away from the defense to be in position to receive the ball. • Anticipation

  8. Rules to the Game • Can’t hold the ball longer than 3 seconds. • Must advance the ball forward. • Must use all three types of throws. • Must work with partner/team to score and advance ball. • All players must touch ball before they score. • Defense can’t touch offensive players.

Questions and Assessment • Observation and checklist • What made your throws more accurate when aiming at a target? • What types of throws worked best when advancing the ball? • What made throwing the ball in less than 3 seconds easier? • How did you catch the ball on the move? • What helped with getting in an open space to get open?
